A comparative policy and system analysis in global health
Research team: Fabiana C. Saddi - PPCP-UFG (PI), Germano Araújo (Master researcher at PPGCP-UFG), Renata Lozano (Master in Political Science/UFG), João Paulo Dantas(Master in Political Science/UFG), Renata Almeida (Medical doctor at the Family Health Strategy in Goiania)
General Objective of the project: To explore if/how the implementation and re-formulation of P4P/PBF programs have affected two (of the six) health system building blocks (leadership and workforce) in LMICs adopting varied/similar PHC organizational models and at specific stages of development of PHC, in different Regions/Continents of the Globe.
We will firstly develo a concept and state-of-the-art review about p4p and pbf programs in LMICs and will afterwards develop an in-depth comparative analysis between: Brazil (PMAQ), one country in Africa and another in Asia (to be selected). We will soon be forming a consulting group. SHAPES/HSG members will be involved and will receive updates on the project. Updates and more information will also be published on this website.
